As life goes on, we adapt to forget little things that give us satisfaction.

I chose not to!

So, I made a list of things I want to do in my life apart from my various responsibilities. This list will be extended on a need basis and checked off regularly.

Food

  • Fillet a fish
  • Visit a food festival
  • Taste red and white wine (I hate even grape juice. So haven’t tasted wine)
  • Make Lasagna
  • Debone a chicken
  • Make a lemon tart
  • Make a classic Kung Pao Chicken
  • Join a weekend culinary class (min. 6 weeks)
  • Bake a cake
  • Make ice cream
  • Taste Hyderabadi Haleem
  • Taste Pork
  • Make pizza at home
  • Prepare and eat a beetroot dish (I hate beetroot and have never tasted a beetroot in life)
  • Cook chicken breast with mashed potatoes and vegetables
  • Grow greens and veggies on my apartment balcony (at least 3)
  • Cook dishes from different countries (min. 5 different cuisines)
  • Buy a BBQ charcoal grill and grill meat
  • Cook and eat duck
  • Visit famous street food places in Bangalore
  • Eat cuisines from other countries (1 cuisine per month)
  • Open a small, part-time, weekend food joint

Travel

  • Scuba Diving
  • Visit wonders of the world
  • Go on a cruise
  • Trek the 7 hills of Velliangiri mountains
  • Visit snow peaked mountains
  • Go for a Formula One Grand Prix
  • Visit Lakshadweep Islands
  • Go for fishing into sea

Photography

  • Go on a brief photography trip
  • Take a time-lapse video
  • Buy a point and shoot camera and carry it everywhere
  • Try underwater photography
  • Capture a shooting star
  • Own an instant film camera

Movies

  • Watch all the films of Star Wars (I am an avid fan of Star Trek series)
  • Go to an International Film festival and watch all the movies
  • Visit a film studio
  • Watch any of my favorite movies in IMAX

Literature

  • Write a Sci-fi short story
  • Start and complete a novel
  • Publish a novel
  • Start reading the book “Great North Road” and complete it (1100 pages). It’s lying idle for a year

Lifestyle

  • Run a half marathon
  • Do a stand-up comedy show on any pub open night
  • Learn Origami and make 5 complicated models
  • Make a YouTube video
  • Donate blood (I am afraid of needles and haven’t donated blood in my life)
  • Not use the internet for 24 hours continuously
  • Not use mobile phone for 24 hours continuously
  • Stop eating rice and rice dishes for a week
  • Start an online magazine
